MedHog49 - "I just don't see how Alabama's soft secondary will slow down LSU. Ensminger will keep Alabama on their heals and Fournette will get through some holes. Losing Eddie Jackson is real bad for the Tide. I have a hard time seeing Alabama stick around, in front of a sold out Tiger Stadium.

Also

Fire Bert"

LSU is gaining a lot of respect from SEC fans, all fans that is except for the gumps who always need a much further education, that will happen soon in Tiger Stadium.

It just proves how scared they all are.

They know what's about to happen.

Their D Line will destroy our O Line. We will have to get the ball out quick. It's hard to see us winning but it's possible, we'll have to play mistake free.

Lmao....there will always be idiots like you that have no clue. You don't even bother checking the history of the series in baton rouge....bama hasn't even played a good defense yet, and have a qb that is a freshman and inaccurate....bama has given up large amounts of yards and points to arky and ole miss...and have a depleted secondary...and we have a better team than we have had since 2011 with a better offense...but its hard to see us winning...lol...we got some real pathetic, saban dick sucking fans. Bama is the one that will have to play mistake free...

Going to be a lot of 2 WR, 2 TE, 1 RB sets to protect the edges. Short passes to TEs and WR's with occasional shots up top.

LSU ran the ball better against Ole Miss' defense than Bama did. And Bama's running-game isn't what is used to be, their freshman QB will have to pass against LSU's defense in a loud arse Tiger Stadium. Good luck with that!

If Etling could get his damn timing right on the deep ball, we'd be untouchable

Our secondary is gonna need to be ball hogs in two weeks and make that little boy scared to pass

Etling is night and day better than BH and makes us much more dangerous on offense, but we will always have guys like you that only want to bitch about something.

If you fail to see deficiencies, you'll never be able to address them. Yes he is much better, but that doesn't make his timing on deep passes any better. I think he'd agree

Don't necessarily agree with that statement, he has gotten better. LSU's Oline needs to not have breakdowns, like when Etling was blindsided by Ole Miss D. That concerns me more, Etling has gotten better with the long ball in every game.

Gonna need him to stay composed when the hosses from Bama burst through the line. Hard not to get happy feet with those guys in your face. I expect a hell of a game.

This is our biggest challenge. If Danny has a little time we will win. Otherwise we may not.

He is behind people often also. Placement isn't bad. Timing is off

Dude. Really. History has nothing to do with this year's team. To be fair their d-line and linebackers are pretty good if you watch. But I think if we can give Danny a little time he will make the weak back end pay.

To dismiss Alabama as a very good team is wrong. Nothing to do with Saban.

I still think we win. By a touchdown.

Not doing it to myself again. Show me something in the actual game, then I'll believe. The last 2 years Fournette was going to run through them, we get to the game and our O-line is pushed around like a JV team. They haven't played a decent defense yet?
We have? We played Wisky and Auburn and done what exactly? Yeah, I know. Different coach, but this coach hasn't played a decent defense yet either, by your standards.

I'm going to be cautiously optimistic in this one.

I'm more at ease about this LSU game against Bama than I was about any other. Can't explain it, actually I can but it would require bashing someone I still respect.

I'm going to go cautiously optimistic as well. We have some things that could work, but bama and LSU tend to play their best games of the year against each other. Etling will have to have his best deep ball game as a tiger. Really the only weakness in his game in my eyes. Their corners will play press man and try to take away the short throws and play the run. We will have to go over the top a couple of times to make us respect them.

And to the guy quoting series history in BR...may wanna fact check. I'm as big a LSU homer as any but they have completely dominated the series in BR. We have fared better on the road against bama oddly. It's ok to tak about the things we need to improve on. Our oline has to have their best game all year and we need to hit a couple deep and stay out of too many third and longs. Bama may have the best pass rush they've ever had this year. That play Williams made on knight launching over the would be rb blocker and spearing knight was an amazing play and just one of the amazing plays he has made this year.

All that said, LSU by 2
