I think if this was an incident that didn't involve LSU in any way you wouldn't think documented injuries and two different people providing an account of events was "flimsy". All it takes for an arrest is probable cause. It does not mean guilt.

from my understanding there were supplemental reports taken that night from the hospital. come about mid day on friday, they could have been in slammer.

again, you need probable cause to arrest. a conviction is a different beast.

If they were charged with just that, then the case will be dismissed.

They have some sort of other evidence I would assume.

But if this was a witch hunt and shite goes south for the prosecution then I bet some major arse chewing happens or even worse.

This wasnt a regular investigation, someone higher up made this happen. They can argue with me all they want but it wont change the truth.

Cauble is correct on this. While there may be conflicting evidence, a witness who says I saw JJ do this and that is all that's needed to be charged. Why don't you get that?

Believe me i understand the diffrence between arrest and conviction however how do you not see the bias involved in the 2 people on the police report. Especially when there are other reports saying Jefferson didnt do it unless they have other evidence there not sharing it they should move for dismissal.

So he was at the bar harassing an ex gf with his current gf tagging along?

That's either unlikely or

as the INITIAL report read both could have been arrested. however, it appears the police did not just act on that. so several different parties were interviewed and statements were taken. it appears probable cause for arrest was there.

actually brpd was in a catch 22 regarding public opinion on this one

I don't care what JJ is charged with at this point, I think a two game suspension is warranted.

I say bring him back no matter if he is cleared or not after game two. It would be a sufficient suspension if even found guilty later.

Charged does not equal convicted. Being charged with something is meaningless.
