Still don't understand why this always happens in a thread that isn't completely full of fans giving Miles virtual blow jobs.
Sports fans talking sports. Sometimes it will not be all positive. Deal with it.
Miles is a big boy and is a top paid coach. He will be fine even if you people don't come running into every thread like this like your panties just slipped up a little too tight.

all I can say is that les mile lives to WIN. he doesn't give a shite about style points. he plays each game to win. if he thinks going into an offensive "cacoon" and using the clock will win the game that's what he does. if works on an overall basis; not so much on a game to game basis.

What I don't understand is a bunch of sports fans that need to have their own self worth validated by a team. Why is victory never enough? Why is the margin of victory such a strong component in their enjoyment?
Miles is indeed a big boy, but from reading the juvenile comments that flood this site, I can't help wonder how many of the posters are.
How is it that if the criticism of any of the coaches, the players, and the program valid, but criticism of the critics off limits? It seems that often the critics have "their panties slipped up a little tight".
If one dishes it out, one shoud be able to take it. Amirite?

Might I suggest that victory in all those games, by one point or twenty, WOULD be enough if we didn't get beaten (soundly I might add, at least for this past season) three or more times a year?

Meh. Most are providing valid points and with good reasoning. This is referred to as adding value to a thread.
You are just being a whiny bitch.

keeping his foot on the gas means running LF up the middle 90% of the time. Les has it covered.
Les will snatch mediocrity out of the jaws of excellence.
Do you live in an alternate universe where Miles' tenure at lsu hasnt been the most successful tenure ever?
I just find it comical that the winningest coach in lsu history is considered mediocre.
I mean Miles only has as many top 5 finishes as Mac,Saban, and Dietzel COMBINED
but hey dont let facts get in the way of shitting on the face of lsu football.

Haven't you heard? Our Qb is lazy and not very accurate

is it less classy than running the score up on someone your already beating by nearly 60 points?
I've never really understood the "running up the score" argument.
Yes, I get it, a team shouldn't run a double reverse or a flea-flicker with 5 minutes left and up by 30 points. I do understand that.
But there's not a damn thing wrong with running your normal offense, even when up big. Maybe pull the starters and let the backups play, but let them run the normal offense. You never know when you might need those guys in regular game situations, so let them run the offense, with a normal mix of runs and passes.
And to be honest, if I were the losing team, I'd be pissed as hell that the other team "showed mercy." I don't want mercy. My job is to play defense and stop the opponent. If I can't do that, I don't want the other team taking a knee. That's insulting.

LSU really hasn't had the horses as of late to skulldrag opponents and an attempt to do so could introduce disastrous mistakes.

Posting the same tired old shite adds value?
Sort of like replacing the worn tires on your Chevette with more worn tires?

Im looking at things like last season we put up 30+ pts in 10 games. We put up 40+ pts in 5 of those games and finished with 56 pts against Texas Tech.
The off and def are taking strides forward this year. We've got weapons, experience, and leaders all over the field. Next man up is going to be huge for us.
I don't think Miles is coaching for his job. I think Miles floors it all season in hope of another extension. I think we have an incredible staff that really meshes well with these kids. I'd love to read yalls opinion about that too.

Agree, I would say too many games have been close due to being ultra conservative when 2 scores ahead.
