Is a student ID required to sit in student section? Can anyone sit in this section?

I graduated in 2014 but at the time you either needed an ID or a student to pay to upgrade the ticket at the ticket office

If the ticket happens to be in the student section, do you have to use the student gate?

Yes. There aren't print tickets this year. The ticket is on the student ID which is swiped upon entering the gate, and you won't be allowed in unless you are the student on the ID.

I was offered tickets to this Saturday's game but they are in the student section so before I drive 2 hours to BR I need to make sure I can get in without being a student lol

Your only hope is that you look like the girl on the student ID.
The advice I give non-LSU students who want to sit in the SS is buy a normal NEZ ticket (200s) and just walk right over to the SS. There's nothing that divides the normal folks from the students. Not a terrible idea in that you get to skip the long arse student section line outside the stadium, but you may have to pony up more cash.

They usually won't care as long as you have a ID and act like it's yours. Just walk in like you own the place.
