Help me out... Contraflow question

Leaving from the Levee lots headed south on River Road after the game... will I be able to turn left onto Brightside?
I normally head out North after the games, so I have never been down that way to see if it is blocked off. This week I am headed south to take in the Saints game Sunday at noon. I will have to run by a friend's house off of Brightside to pick him up, before heading to New Orleans.
Please let me know if I need to find a different spot to park or if I should be good.

I can't speak for this season, but last season you couldn't turn into Brightside.

Normally they won't let you turn left onto Brightside as they have a cop at that intersection basically "ensuring" all cars continue flow south. I would plan on another route if you need to get to Brightside.

yeah, i haven't gone that way in a while but, i thought traffic was forced onto brightside.

Last time I took Brightside from RRd it took me an hour just get through the Nicholson Brightside light

What time does contra flow start? Is it just a read on traffic that determines it or is it just a certain point in the game?
