Hell of a season

At the risk of being the obnoxiously positive guy after a loss, I just have to remind everybody that this team overperformed expectations all season. Anytime my team can keep me engaged until the final weeks of the season, I can't help but think of it as a success. I'm sure there will be dozens here calling for firings and revoked scholarships (and no doubt complaining about tipping the cap to CCU), but hopefully the majority of us can demonstrate some perspective.

90% of the rantards had us going under .500 in the sec preseason. So for us to be a national seed and make it to the super regional round believe we exceeded all expectations. Would have liked for us to win but that's the way it goes sometimes. Congratulations on the great season and look forward to see them next year! Geaux Tigers!!!

I would have laughed in your face had you told me in January that this team would be a national seed in June. They definitely exceeded my expectations and I'm proud of this team

Anything can happen in a 3 game series. I agree, you all had a great season. #8 seed isn't given, it's earned.

Overachieved in the regular season but a weak effort this weekend. They looked disinterested.

I was going to make a similar post. Definitely a sucessful season. Heartbreaking but great season. We have to understand we arent gonna win the CWS every year. The fact is this team came together AS A TEAM NOT A POSSUM to put together a string of wins and they went out there and had fun. Im a matter of weeks we went from a 3 seed in hattisburg to a national seed. THANK YOU team and i know yall will be there next year.

Big time agree, after last years attrition great season. Just miss the dominant days, when teams like CSF would come into the box with Omaha on the line and get their arse stomped.
