Just got off the phone with a friend of mine who is an Environmental Engineer with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and we were talking about the game. He brought up the subject of field contamination and said that if the playing field had been subjected to "runoff water" for an extended period of time (3-4 hours) then the very real possibility exists for serious contamination passed on to humans. He mentioned things like typhus, tetanus, wound botulism, etc. Said it would take several weeks of sunlight and temperature to reduce the levels in the soil to a safe level. He said if he was the Ath Director there'd be no way he would put his team on that field. Sounds kinda extreme to me but just thought I'd throw it out there.

The stadium didn't flood. The photo was a fake.

I told him that sounded pretty extreme. Of course being a scientist, he can be pretty weird about stuff. :)

I'm honestly surprised they are still holding the game there. It's a state of emergency. Take care of the disaster first.

If we don't play this game because of some perceived health concerns, then Aleva should be fired. Of course if we do play the game ignoring potential health concerns, and some of our players get sick, then Aleva should be fired. Even if no players get sick, Aleva should be fired.

Excellent. Spurrier's already dwindling 'give a shite' factor will plummet. We need to hang 70 on him if we can.

Right...?

We almost had a situation like y'all last weekend, not because of an outage though. Damn oil companies in Venice pulling from us for 2 days straight. Emptied our wells, towers, could barely keep up. Dangerously close to a boil notice... We just got a new UV filtering system in Belle Chasse if you wanna come check it out sometime.
