Marta from the airport to downtown? Pretty safe?

Like any subway, stay away late at night, but as long as you're in the daytime or game crowd you should be fine.

How is it taking the Marta from the airport to downtown? Pretty safe?

Yeah, I've done that ride a bunch and will be packed before and right after so no problem. Took it after CFL Bowl 1 year very late and was a little shady but should have no problem. The think to look out for is walking downtown ATL at night when the panhandlers come out is a bit aggrevating. Don't think they have the shooting gallery like N.O. though so should be OK!

.

Thanks. Our flight lands at 8:45am. Once we drop our luggage off at the hotel, we close enough to the dome that we can walk.

both the parade and road race are east of the stadium and shouldn't cause any problems with gameday traffic. The Road race is completely on the other side of atlanta. The Parade is close but far enough away from Centenial Park were you should be able to avoid it also.

t to the Georgia Dome....

Agreed! If a parade is really going on, I'm not driving through downtown...

Chicken....

Taco Mac, Dantannas or Stats are the best places to eat/drink near the dome..

McCormick & Schmidts has drink specials, but their food is pricey!
