After hearing all types of hype leading into last season I've heard nothing about him this season. Dude can knock people out.
Whats the word on him anyone know?

Relevant to my interests.

Coach Miles is a hell of a judge of talent. So many of our 5 stars have gone unheralded, while 2 and 3 stars are tearing it up.

Calm down, Francis. There hasn't even been full contact yet.

Listed #1 FS in the Spring Depth Chart. Hopefully Cooper's got him up to speed and ready to play. He could be a monster.

Great talent, but if it comes down to him, Eric Reid, and B. Taylor, I think he's the odd man out.

Nevertheless, he'll get a lot of PT. I just maintain he might make a great LB convert. Put 15 pounds on him, and he'll be the perfect Steffon Francios, Harry Coleman, etc type.

But I'll leave that up to the coaches. I just fear our dearth of bodies at LB more than our loaded secondary.

What a problem to have ... and they're exalting the Elephants this season as the best secondary which is BS

LINK

I say all that exaltation is doodley squat

... I wouldn't trade LSU's secondary for anyone's

Dude could be the backup for the rest of this year, and never get one start, and still end up starting almost 40 games in his college career.

That's WITH Reid on campus, as well.

Taylor's got one more year, and this is an outstanding problem to have.

I've heard Reid put on great weight, hasn't lost quickness, and is looking good. But remember that Loston lost his 1st year due to a significant injury to his wrist. It had to heal properly.

He was also raw.

Compare that to Reid, who got the Carrier guy whose now at Zachary to coach him up bigtime when he was still at Dutchtown. Reid was already a good player, but the technique and early coaching he got before he got to LSU put him ahead of the game last year, when Loston was just getting back on the field after over a year off of it, and just getting back to normal Strength & Conditioning-Wise, too.

Reid came in more poised to make immediate impact because he didn't lack for technique and coaching coming in. Loston did, and then got saddled by injury.

In other words, short term, Loston's ceiling was lower because of coaching they had when both were in HS. Now that the coaching is something that's-all things considered-equal, we may see Loston overtake Reid as he has a higher ceiling.

We may not.

But, this does not mean Loston is a poor player, or isn't developing, and it certainly doesn't mean he's a bust.

The secondary is brimming with talent. Simon, Claiborne, Mathieu, Taylor, Reid, Loston, Brooks, & do NOT sleep on Ronnie Vinson & Sam Gibson, who were redshirted their 1st years on campus (Vinson had a pick in the Spring Game & looked good when I rewatched it this weekend).

We have an absolute GLUT of talent and a great teacher & coach.

Loston is biding his time. The book ain't even close to being written-or closed-with Craig.

Since when does Les Miles publish a depth chart a month before the season starts?

he doesn't, but a lotta ppl are going off the depth chart listed in the Media Guide that came out a a week or 2 ago. Loston's listed as the #1 FS there, and also on his bio. there's been talk of Reid running at #1 FS however.

it seems to be a fairly fluid situation, but I think we know who the top 3 guys in the safety rotation are. I wanna see a Loston/ Reid combo, all due respect to BT.

If you are talking about Loston, you realize he is a SOPH, right?

LSU wont play 40 games over his JR and SR years

I think he meant he could play 40 games, not start 40 games.
