Have we talked about the squib kick from our own 20 with 44 seconds left?

Why would we do such a thing?

And, before you tell me to move on, it was a win...

Make them prove they can field it.

Criticizing the special teams that had a banner day on saturday is ridiculous.

Are you suggesting we planned for a recovery?

Special teams was great. Doesn't change the fact that who ever called this particular play had a severe moment of shitastic coaching

I think the idea was to prevent a decent return. Had one of the Kentucky players fallen on it, they probably would have just run out the clock.

I doubt it was supposed to hit the field as early as it did though. It risked one of the more up-field players fielding it.

How can you say that? It was obviously an excellent decision.

From the 35 it made a bit of sense. From the 20, none.

No, it was a horrific decision that worked out do to Kentucky herp derpin. Are you honestly trying to argue otherwise?

We got one the first kick back. If it were me I'd use that kick until they fielded it consistently. Guess that's outside the box

If the Kentucky players fielded it they would have needed about 10 yards for a field goal. I think it was a combination of bad coaching and bad execution. Overall though, special teams get an A for the game

The word "horrific" is overused these days.

I'm talking about one of the last couple of players. As I said, I don't think it was designed to be available to some of the more up-field players, although there was enough crazy bounce to it that it made it difficult to field.

Reminded me of the opening scene in Dances With Wolves when Kostner just rides right in front of everyone and they're all just too stunned to shoot.

It was a stroke of genius, worked just like it was drawn up.
