8 is fine. If he was 4 then maybe it'd be questionable.

Good memories. And don't worry, you'll know when it's time to take him home. Enjoy.

agree completely...

I bring kids to home football games from time to time and they just get a kick out of telling their friends that we stop on the way home and have supper at 1AM...

I think it affects me a lot more than it does them...

I was just a couple of years older when my sister was a junior in HS, the year their football team won the state championship, we went to every game that year including a cold, very rainy night in Chalmette, it was miserable, so cold that the hot chocolate was cold before you could take a sip, one of the greatest memories of my times with my Dad

My 4 year old grand daughter is there.
She got a nap in this afternoon. She has called from there and ready to watch her Tigers play...

That would create a interesting social experiment. We could convince someone to allow TD to dictate most of there major life choices for a year. Could you imagine the train of a individual we could create.

Have a good time. If he's awake and excited for it then by all means stay. Like others said, just don't force him to stay when he gets tired. That'll turn them off faster than anything. Go make some good memories man. I wasn't a huge sports fan as a kid it loved fishing. I've ended quite a few good fishing and hunting trips for my dad when I was a kid, but he never said a word and just packed me home when I had enough. Now you can't keep me out the boat or woods. I had other friends whose dad forced them to stay and none of them really hunt and fish now.

When I was 9 years old Bert Jones tossed a pass to Brad Davis with 1 second left just in front of me to beat Ole Miss while I was sitting in between my mother and father.

You are damed right it will be memories.

No doubt. He goes to football games, baseball games, sits in a duck blind with me, goes out to the rigs with us to catch trout. I've been blessed.. Can't even lie.

That's awesome man. No doubt the little fella will get tired but he will do his best trying to hide it from Dad he won't want to leave the game.

Yeah.. I knew he was going to be special when he jumped up at 4:30 am at 4 years old to go chase the trout. And I'm good with leaving whenever he's ready.

Stay til the last out. He'll be able to talk about being at the game that ended long after midnight.
