Have a ? sons 6th birthday

I am wanting to take my son to the basketball game on jan 18th. do any of you know if there is anyway to meet players and coaches and have them announce at the game happy birthday to him.. thanks in advance.

I can promise you this will not happen at a basketball game. They only do this at baseball games.

You can hang out by the practice facility or locker room after the game and meet the players.

I know this is a different subject, but I have a suggestion for you. If you really want to make a lasting impression on your son, within a couple of years, take him to see the Harlem Globetrotters. You can get a special pass for about 20-25 bucks more that allows you to go on the court and meet the players and shoot around and stuff. Kids that age eat that stuff up, and it's fun for the adults, as well. I know my son got all the players to autograph a souvenir basketball, and he slept with it for two weeks. Those guys make the kids feel real welcome.
Try this in addition to going to the Tigers game. I only mentioned it because I'm not sure if their is a way to meet the Tigers players, but the Globetrotters definitely do have that access.

Jax-Tiger, thanks for the info. will def look into that I remember doing that as a kid myself. will def check that out.
