So the news came out awhile back that Harris and Chi helped stranded motorists in the flooding move their cars. A cool nugget that Dell engr tweeted was that they actually were at one point getting insulin out of one of the cars for a mother and her child. Les was quoted as saying "this team is full of quality young men." Glad to see our Tigers being good men as well as good players.

According to the Advocate, they actually went underwater and got the insulin. Hope those guys were careful.

LSU players going the extra mile to get that good karma before the Bama game. I would take my hat to BH and MD, but then everyone would see my baldsport, but I will give them a

Screw it I'll take my hat off too. Good job guys. This team is making me so proud to be a tiger this year. LSU, LSU, LSU!

ETA: I would like to nominate this quote by Miles as the understatement of the year:
quote:

“They basically went into a car that had insulin in it for (a woman’s) diabetic son, went underwater and got it,” Miles said. “That was Brandon Harris and Malachi Dupre, just doing good things on their own without direction.”

The car was submerged in five to six feet of waters, Miles said. Earlier this year, receiver Travin Dural helped a stranded motorist by pulling her from a car after the vehicle veered into a ditch.

“There’s a lot of real quality people on this team,” Miles said.

I'm bumping this because I just read about it and it deserves to stay on the first page. Our RB told the NCAA to pound sand when he wanted to auction off his jersey to benefit flood victims in South Carolina. Our starting QB and WR jumped into flood waters and rescued a lady and got medicine for her kid.

Thats some quality young men being recruited by this coaching staff.

All true, and let's not forget Travin Dural saving a woman in an overturned vehicle in the summer.
