And TOP does not give the defense long rests in between drives, which is what you claimed.

Yes it does. Are you crazy? The more time your offense has the ball, the less your defense is on the field.

Style of offense???? They had trouble scoring in a whorehouse.. LSU 's offense sucked last year.

Again, our ball control offense helps the defenses totals. When you look at yards per play Chavis' defenses dont look nearly as good as total defense. If lsu didnt run the style of offense we do, then most of Chavis' defenses would be ranked out side of the top 25.
Its common knowledge that TOP helps defenses stay fresh and lowers the amount of time they are on the field. Im getting tired of explaining this to you.

NOT scoring more hurt LSU'S D a lot more than you will ever admit,

No it doesnt. The score of the game doesnt change the defenses job.

cause you have Miles up your arse too much.

I state facts about Miles' tenure. Im sorry those facts dont correlate with your ignorant opinions.

And I like how you [I am sure] RAVED about Chavis while he was here and now bash him since he is gone.

Holy shite.i stated in this thread that Chavis IS A GOOD DC.
That doesn't change the FACT that our ball controlled offense HAS HELPED HIS DEFENSIVE TOTALS.
When you look at Chavis' defensive yards per play and points per play (WHICH ISNT SKEWED MY TOP) his defensive rankings go WAY down.
THIS ISNT AN OPINION OF MINE.ITS A FACT.
Do i need to explain what a fact is?

I know this and never said otherwise... However with ALL that TOP LSU's crap run.run, run offense should have scored enough points to keep the pressure off the D late in games... I am tired of explaining this to you.

You really should look at their time of possession against ours for 2014.

Get prepared to be surprised.

Basically he's saying he wants a higher scoring offense so his philosophy doesn't get exposed.

Maybe his fat arse should mix in a salad once a day and get out if that box and on the field once in a while.

It's pathetic he is making that his excuse for being a shifty person and running out on his team like a pussy.

The job of a defense DOESNT change because of the score.how is that so hard to understand?
If lsu is winning by 30, the defense's job is the exact same as it is when lsu is losing by 30.

If youre trying to say the offense could do more then thats true for every offense that doesnt score a td on every possession.

Im not defending LSU's offense. Our passing game has been bad in 2008,2010,2012 and 2014.
But,If Lsu can win a football game by the defense GETTING 1 STOP,and we lose that game, then the offense did enough to win the game.

I don't get the OP's rationale. If anything, Chavis had it made here. Miles always takes the heat for anything that goes wrong.

Someone literally just posted a stat that pointed out how high the average number of plays run by LSU's offense was compared to the defense. That stat alone completely invalidates your argument, quit trying to be condescending when you're grossly exaggerating your claims and don't know what you're talking about

His D is probably going to be on the field just as much there. Fast paced o's don't worr about the clock. 3 incomplete passes could be in 10 sec of game time. Look at all the times the Aggs hafca huge lead and couldn't hold on.

Yet that doesn't seem to help our offensive rankings?

Actually, it does immensely.

Mett 1125 yards (12.1 ypa) 12 TDs 2 ints OOC 4 games
Mett 1957 yards (9.6 ypa) 10 TDs 6 ints 8 games

2014
LSU QBs 993 pass yards (10.7 ypa) 10 TDs 3 ints OOC 5 games
LSU QBs 1125 pass yards (6.1 ypa) 7 TDs 6 ints 8 games
