Still don’t quite understand how it was flagged as simply roughing and not reviewed for targeting? Staratore seemed to think that it would at least be reviewed…

Yeah I’m still salty about losing Wihte for a half against Bama for shoving MSU quarterback in the chest

Not going to.

They won’t draw more attention to it.

They didn't even comment when they picked the flag up, why would they say anything now?

Still would (probably) not have made any difference in the outcome.

down 14 with 12 min left and the ball? If you’re MvP is not knocked out it doesn’t make a difference?

Getting abused by a lot of people in national media. They won’t comment on it.

The SEC is happy about what happened. Why would they comment?

The flag wasn't picked up. LSU was given 15 yards and a first down. They just never called it targeting.

What got me is the call was personal foul roughing the passer, hit to the head or neck area. WTF???? That is one of the bullet points in the targeting rule

LSU will submit it for review. SEC will apologize to LSU for the missed call. And that’ll be the end of it.

Since the game there has been a push to say it was reviewed. SEC is kinda doing a bit of damage control because of how bad the look is.

It wasn’t reviewed, Gary and crew even announced it wasn’t and all were surprised. They had ample time to do the right thing and didn’t. I also think they thought JD would come back and figured that would tamp down the arguments against it or it would naturally go away.

Oh wait, the hit was penalized?! That's arguably more inexcusable, for the reasons you listed.

They have Kentucky next week. They won’t comment on it, but will do a review and suspend him next week

There was no way SEC was going to let LSU win that game, notice how everything changed with the offense once we scored after halftime. They want a Bama/Georgia SEC championship.

I would be shocked if the SEWC admits it should have been called.
When have they ever admitted to an officiating error?
I am sure that must have happened but it must be VERY rare.
