What's the odds that Mett is in the Heisman discussion next year?

There is zero chance Mett will be in the Heisman discussion next year.

mett will have the same offense as J lee had the first 8 weeks. it would suprise me if he throws over 20 times more than twice before we get to alabama.

this is the les miles gameplan. great defense and special teams, win with the running game in the second half. hard to argue with the results the last 2 years. (or any of the 7 for that matter)

Bert was it. Finished fourth in '72 (senior year).

Stovall was a RB.

I still have a worn "Hodson for Heisman" poster somewhere.

not true, he will have as good of a chance as anybody, he has the skills and he will be on the #1 team in the country.

I'll ask, why go after a kid like Mett and Gunner if you only need a flynn or a mauck? I believe Miles wants to open it up that's why.

Flynn was pretty highly recruited and a 4 star, not sure about mauck. It's not like they were unwanted walk-ons that no other school was interested in.

This is the Les Miles gameplan when you have qbs of the JL and JJ caliber.

I LOVE those guys. But, they are in NO WAY of the same capabilities of Mett and Kiel. Miles is smart enough to adjust it.

Now, I am not saying it will become a "throw it 70%" offense. But, to assume that what we saw is what we WILL see is incorrect.

How people soon forget we have put up some pretty big passing numbers with flynn and russell. Miles doesnt mind throwing it.

Right. There is no way some one can come from a junior college and rise to prominence in one year. That has never happened.
