Wasnt many missed shots to be honest. Plus victor was in foul trouble the entire second half.

He and Robinson were opposite each other on stats. Robinson had 1 point and 7 or so rebounds.

That's another thing. If Robinson progresses a little more then this team will start being pretty scary. Simmons, Victor and Robinson should be a dominating the paint just on size alone.

Simmons victor and robinson should be a scary rebounding frontcourt. Not to mention tq and hornsby in the backcourt. They need to work on fundamentals. Blocking out. Freethrows. If we get a great chemistry going we will be scary good. Big if though

If by "looks ok", you mean he looks like a guy that has had a double-double in all but one game and is shooting roughly 53% from the field and over 70% from the stripe; and has shown the ability to use both hands to shoot and can dribble at 6'10" tall; distributes the ball to his teammates and improves everyone else's play...then I have to agree...

Ignore that fricking retard. Simmons is averaging 19 Pts 14 Rebs & 7 Ast per game. Dude is legit. I was at the game, Victor played great, but he needs to watch the fouls, I know 1or 2 of them were ticky tack, but fouls nonetheless. I'm actually encouraged with Simmons, Victor, Quarterman & Hornsby moving forward. I'm not gonna lie though, Elbert is not so encouraging, especially on the offensive end.

That lineup has to be the tallest in the country. Hornsby is a really good rebounder for his size.

Getting Hornsby back has really been a boost for this team. Victor also has added more fuel to this team.

The other big guys have shown improvement. If those big men can improve some more THEN I will be sold that this team can make some legit noise.

But if they want to be final four type of an elite team they will also have to step up their defense.

Pump the brakes. We've won 2 games against nobodies and played sloppy ball. LSU still has a lot to prove and you shouldn't be sold on LSU after these last 2 games

I agree with this. This team should be at least a sweet 16 team if CJJ doesn't get in the way and LSU stays healthy. Final Four/ Title game potential with a little better coaching. This team is that talented.

I still don't know what the identity of this team. But just now getting Hornsby and Victor into the lineup has the most to do with it.

I know I don't sound like it but I'm a Johnny Jones fan, mainly for the recruiting. But I can't think of any games LSU has won because of his coaching. Or any coaching adjustments that were noticeable that was a positive. I'm not qualified to criticize his coaching but I haven't seen anything that made me think, good move. Someone may can give me examples but my amateur eye isn't seeing anything.

I can remember a good play he called against Butler for Martin out of a timeout for a key basket in that win. Switching to a full-court press against Seton Hall down 14 even though the team had scarcely practiced it, and putting Carmouche at the point one game when Carmouche was really feeling it that led to an LSU victory.

But I could list as many that may have cost us. The curious end of game decisions vs. Auburn in the SEC tourney last year that many of us worried might cost us a tournament birth for one.

But ultimately, I don't know that it's a strategical, bench coaching issue that is the most pressing problem with CJJ, it's more of a culture off lack of accountability for the same issues occurring repeatedly. It just seems it has to get to the boiling point to get our kids to start to adjust and do what the are supposed to do, and even then the improvements seem too often fleeting.
