I know he has emphasized having more former players come around the program. Duhe is a guy you never hear about much. Dude was a beast. 1st round pick. Defensive rookie of the year in the NFL and a big piece of a couple of super bowl teams in Miami. Seems like he would be a great guy to bring in.

I knew Duhe when were in college together. He was a really nice guy but I would not have wanted to piss him off.

Dad gave me Duhe's practice jersey when I was a kid. Still have it in the drawer.

David Woodley was the QB in one Super Bowl Duhe played (no name defense). Loved A.J. at LSU too. Woodley is one of six Louisiana QBs to start a Super Bowl, but the only one from LSU. The others are Terry Bradshaw (MVP), Doug Williams (MVP), Eli Manning (MVP), Payton Manning (MVP), Jake Delhomme (Carolina) and Stan Humphries (Sand Diego). You're welcome.

That was actually the "Killer B" defense (because they had so many guys whose names started with "B" on the defense). The "No Name" defense was the one in the early '70's. (I used to be a huge Dolphin fan).

Incidentally, David Woodley once held the record for youngest QB to ever start a Super Bowl. I think it's been eclipsed by someone since.

I was a huge Dolphin fan back then and I remember that well. He had a fantastic season in 1977, his rookie year. Bob Baumhower of Alabama was also a rookie on that team and went on to be a great NT for the Dolphins for years. Duhe and Baumhower became great friends.

#77 in those years was Benji Thibodeaux , Duhe played earlier in the 70, 73-76 I think.

One of my favorite players all time. The game he had against the Jets in the playoffs was one of the best ever

That was the AFC conference championship game for the strike-shortened 1982 season. I remember that well, think he had three interceptions against Richard Todd and returned one for a TD. The Dolphin defense dominated the Jets in that game.

I believe AJ is working for one of the casinos down here in South Florida or the Bahamas. I met him several years ago at a party. Told him I was a huge LSU fan. Completely blew me off. He was kissing arse to all the big money folks. Great LSU player but a prick to us common folks.
