This is completely false. In the last 3 cycles hey have been 6, 13, 11. We've been 2, 6 and 13. That's pretty damn close. Not much separation in the top 15 classes IMO. News flash, LSU isn't the most talented team in the country. There are several schools, like Auburn, that recruit just as well as we do. You people need to take the glasses off here and maybe you will realize we play in the toughest division in college football. NFL teams are littered with players from the sec west.
If you add the 4th cycle, lsu 8 Aub 5. Yeah huge gap in talent there.

Ok, so to the heart of the OP, why the discrepancy in rankings? If that's the case, LSU should be ranked top 10 easily this year. Nope, Bama 2, Auburn 6, LSU 13.

Auburn was a few seconds away from winning it all last year. They bring back every one of their WRs and TEs. DL is two deep loaded with veterans, LB corps looks good, and they bring back 2400 yards and 24 TDs rushing. Peyton Barber is supposedly better than Mason (Mason's words), and add 5 star Roc Thomas to an already loaded run game. Throw in Marshall, Johnson, and White at QB and a powerful road grater OL, and you have a recipe for great success.
Why is it so wrong to acknowledge how established they are?

We went 13-0 and demolished every single team in our path. It was one of the greatest seasons ever. We fell on our face in the NCG, but still our defense played admirably. You think THAT game is a program killer?

That's not at all what Im saying and I have no problem with that. They deserve it. Im saying LSU is getting no respect when they are very similar teams and it annoys me.
