With a new offensive coordinator and with Les Miles no longer holding back the offense I figured the entire team would be excited about next years offense.

I understand why but I am still kind of shocked Harris is leaving.

I just wonder if Harris can calm himself down enough to succeed when the lights of the big stadium are on him. I think that was his biggest problem.

Canada's been on board for a few weeks now. Harris waited to announce the transfer. I would be shocked if his decision did not come after talks with Canada (and Coach O). look, we fans don't know the behind the scenes stuff but i'm sure Canada watched lots and lots of LSU film with both Harris and Etling QBing. Harris is doing the right thing for his career and I hope it works out great for him.

With a pinned 176-post thread above, you had to start a new one to post this?

Agreed. If this was just a knee-jerk reaction, it would have happened a while ago.

I thought he would've redshirted and started as a 5th year Sr.

Personally, I'd rather a new OC with a new system get started with a QB that will be around more than one year unless the team is teed up for a championship run...

That actually applies more to B.Harris than D.Etling

Really? Because he's undefeated as a starter at home. Led a comeback against Miss St his freshman year.

This is hilarious! You do know there are other stadiums that are big and kno the road is really where QBs are defined.

Best of luck to the young man - out played last year & handwriting on the wall with the 2017 class - complete release, so he can go D-1 & start if he graduates - IMO, probably best to 1-AA & play - more to the game than just athleticism at this level

Harris is immature, he thinks the starting QB position should be given to him. He doesn't have the right attitude to earn the position.

Very nice kid, just doesn't have what it takes to be a successful football player.

I can't wait to see him play at McNeese State.

LOL offensive style be damned, you still have to make the throws.
I'd go so far as to say PA bombs were more suited to Harris than anything.

He seems like a good kid but it was apparent he couldn't settle down when the bullets were flying to read defenses. That and his lack of leadership. IMO

Agree 100%.

Harris fans blame everybody but Harris. Harris simply is not an SEC level talent. Period.
