just looked at Dobbs' stats after reading an article this morning. He sure gets a lot more love by the media/fans than Harris IMO. Keep in mind that Dobbs is a year older and had much more playing time under his belt heading into last year.

Last year Dobbs threw for 2291 yards with 15 td & 5 picks and a 59% completion rate...qb rating of 127.0. 671 yds. rushing and 11 td's. He was sacked 21 times.

Harris had 2165 yards with 13 td's & 6 and a 53.8% completion rate...qb rating of 130.0. 378 yds. rushing and 4 td's. He was sacked 17 times.

Very, very similar stats. Dobbs gets the nod in completion percentage and running the ball. Not saying Dobbs' wr's didn't drop balls or run the wrong routes, but we sure had more than our share of those problems and I think Coach Craig is working very hard to fix that. Harris gets his completion rate to right at 60%, this offense "should" click this year.

Looking forward to seeing what this team can do!

November is the only thing Harris is being judged by. And that's understandable

Dobbs is in a much, much better offense. Very QB friendly, with a lot of balance.

Dobbs doesn't have the talent around him that Harris has. Thus, while the numbers are similar, Dobbs is seen as the strong point of UT's offense, while Harris is seen as LSU's weak link. Plus, you have to factor in expectations. UT is as a program trying to become relevant again. A 9 win season is a big deal for them and will be perceived much differently than a 9 win season for LSU. Same record, but one is seen as a step in the right direction while the other is looked at as a failure. Such is life when you've had as much success as LSU has had over the last 15 years. Both on the field and off it's MUCH tougher to be LSU's QB.

Dobbs gets the nod in every stat listed except for QB rating (which doesn't make sense) and number of times sacked. Harris also has much more talented people around him which is a major source of the frustration. Adequate play from him would be enough with people like Malachi, LF, Dural and Guice.

Dobbs is the much better QB especially as a runner but like Harris struggles with accuracy and decision making.

We share the same offensive philosophy as tennesse just different sets and tempo.

Dobbs feet are the difference

Nobody hates their own QB quite like LSU...

I would be interested in seeing a stat breakdown of only SEC games for those two. Dobbs looked better in big games imo

add the canceled game and Harris yards and td are probably about equal

Vs Florida Dobbs: 10/17 83 yards 2 tds. 136 yards on the ground

Harris 13/19 202 yards 2 tds. 14 yards rushing

Vs Bama

Dobbs: 13/22 171 1 td. 19 yards rushing

Harris: 6 for 19 128 1 td 1 ints 20 yards rushing

Vs Arkansas

Dobbs 20/36 232. 7 rushing yards

Harris: 21/35 271 1 td 1 int

Harris didn't blow the doors off anyone. However y'all need to go watch that Florida game again, he was rock solid .

Predict what Harris would have done vs McNeese, then add those numbers and let us know what you come up with, mate.

Harris had a YPA of 7.8 and Dobbs was 6.7. That's a massive gap for that particularly rate stat.

Harris was better than Dobbs except in completion percentage, which is a big exception. But Harris outperformed Dobbs by and large last season and he's the sophomore while Dobbs is the junior. I don't see how someone can be a huge believer in Dobbs, like most people are, and not believe in Harris. Given the experience, Harris is far more poised for improvement than Dobbs.

I also believe Harris is a very good runner, but hasn't been allowed to show it like dobbs. The biggest difference between Harris and dobbs, statistically, is the rushing yards. And the rushing touchdowns
