My GF has never been to a game at TS so I'd like for her to enjoy this experience. She has trouble with her hip and leg (she's not in a wheelchair) and walking a long distance and climbing a ramp would be an extreme challenge.

I've googled and checked the LSU website, and TS does not appear handicap friendly. I could probably get tickets on Stubhub for a lower level section to avoid the ramp (she could navigate the steps to our seats okay with my help).

The problem would be getting her to the stadium. Handicap parking is scarce and appears to be reserved. Shuttles park a greater distance than she can comfortably walk. We're considering Uber even with the surge pricing. Has anybody had experience getting to and from TS using Uber?

I'd appreciate any thoughts on my situation.

TIA

Sorry I cannot help, but there has to be some accommodation for those who are mobility challenged.

Unless you are confined to a wheel chair and actually get a handicap seat, TS is not the most handicap friendly.
My advice would be to contact the athletic department and/or parking and try to arrange one of the golf carts to pick y'all up where you park.

As far as a seat, I have no help there.

There are wheelchair seating areas but for the most part it is not very accessible. The club level and suite level have elevators, but you'd have to spend some money to see the game. Since your GF can walk, I'd get lower level seats.
That may be the best you can do.

My oldest son is in a wheelchair and I haven't been able to bring him to a game. We don't have season tickets, but I've been able to take all of the other kids to a couple of games. Every time I go I look for some way to make it work but It's become clear that it would be a real workout for me because I'd have to carry him up and down steps and ramps. He's 15, so it would be a real task.

Good luck and I hope y'all figure out a way to make it work.

I have the same issue wanting to bring my dad to a game. I moved this year from north south endzone to lower south just so he only has to walk up a short ramp.

They will really send a golf cart to pick you up if you have a handicap guest?

You can also use a transport wheelchair to get her to the stadium and up the ramp. They fold up and can be stored by the opening to the seating. If she can make it up or down the steps to the seat, you can do it easily with a transport chair.

The deal with my son is that to get him from the opening to the final seat. I'd have to do a fireman's carry with him across my shoulders. Imagine that coming down the row.

Call the ticket office and ask for a supervisor, don't talk to a student. Explain your problem and they will give your best options.

They have wheelchairs inside the stadium that I'm sure you could use to get her up the ramp. As for getting to the stadium best bet would be to get someone to drop you off right at the stadium or try to buy a parking pass from someone in the lots right outside the stadium

They did it for me a couple of years ago when I brought my 91 year old grandpa for the WW2 vet salute thing. They don't advertise it, but if you explain the situation and beg a little hey may help you out. It will help to know for certain where you are parking and be able to walk to an easy pick up area on campus.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I guess my first action will be to give the ticket office a call.

Nobody had any comments regarding Uber to get to and from the stadium. Any thoughts?

golf cart before game might be easier than after game.

Uber is feasible. Traffic on Nicholson is not too bad a couple hours before kick-off. After the game would be an absolute nightmare, though.

I have tickets in the Accessible Seating zone of the Tiger Terrace (first few rows in upper decks). Easy access via elevator to and from seats, and no one behind or in front of you on the row. We keep them in case my grandfather decides to make a game, but the parking/walking situation after the game makes it almost impossible.

Best bet is to bite the bullet on a parking pass close to the stadium.

Sidenote - I'm always willing to trade with someone who actually needs the accessible seating for a game if my grandfather isn't coming. Let me know if I can help out.

Every time I've taken my handicapped son I've just asked about handicap seating even though I had regular seats. They put us in endzone handicap everytime.

Last year handicap parking was by the new box. Buses take you to the stadium. They do handle wheel chairs. I had a good experience with it. Driving out is another story

I know this post is a year old, but as I was looking through some posts about wheelchair accessable seating I saw your reply. Do you still have tickets in this section and how many? My brother would love to go the the MSU/LSU game, he's in a wheelchair and I would be accompanying him. What would price be if you can sell?

Do you still have wheelchair access seats? I am looking for some for the Arkansas game.
