In lieu of all the negativity about the basketball team, I wanted to share my opinion that Hammink did a commendable job last night. He made several hustle plays, defended and rebounded well, and didn't turn the ball over. I think he's a solid role player and I hope to see him play a similar role in future games. I think he needs some props as a guy who can help the team in many ways while gaining confidence to score and be more aggressive offensively.
It was a tough loss last night. I was at the game and the Ole Miss fans seemed worried for the majority of the night. It's frustrating to consistently see our team not finish games, but I felt the team played well considering and could have won against a decent team on the road. I hope that the team can pull together and string together a few wins. Stringer was a bright spot last night. He played excellent defense on Henderson and regained his scoring touch. The turning point of the game might have been a foul called midway through the second half where Hickey and Stringer both made contact. Stringer was given his 4th foul and was sent to the bench, which opened up some opportunities for Henderson in the next 5-10 minutes of the game. If that foul goes to Hickey instead of Stringer, we might have hung on to win in regulation time.

I'd like to see him pay his own way next year when the second wave of CJJ recruits come in and schollys become scarse

Dude threw a terrible alley oop pass on a mini fast break that was a turnover.

awesome thread title
the putback off that miss was an excellent play and he did a good job to tie up the seinfeld busboy on that play in the 2nd half after johnny got rejected. played very good defense on henderson, contested almost every shot.

The dude also played 14 minutes, and I'm almost positive Henderson didn't score when he Hammink guarded him. I've said even since last year Hammink could have a definite role on our team and I hope he gets more PT.
