It would be awesome just to say once that the coaching staff made halftime adjustments on offense.

I really think people are misinterpreting the second half. The offense wasn't different. That game was close for one dam reason that no one else is admitting. Fournette put the ball on the ground TWICE. State scored touchdowns of fumbles TWICE.

Did we not recover the second fumble? Not sure why everyone keeps reference two fumbles when he got one back.

We did recover the fumble. You're right. But it still caused a turnover on downs.

If he hadn't fumbled, he would have had a first down. The forward fumble was in effect a turnover.

No they didn't. Just once. The other touchdown was following their on side kick. But point made, those fumbles hurt. Maybe he should borrow some of the stickum they put on Dupre's hands last night.

Seriously? While we recovered it, it cost us a first down, possession and likely a TD as LF7 was about to break it.

This. The only thing our coaching did that I have an issue is the run plays in the RZ right before the half. Would've loved to see a TD here, but hey, nigh day improvement over what we are use to. The entire 2nd half, I was amazed that Etling kept slinging it. We also had a couple crucial drops where the ball hit guys in the hands and they dropped it. And the kicker, as you have stated, is LF put the ball on the ground, not the coaches.

Here is the the story of the season thus far....

In 3 games, LSU has scored a total of 21 second half points.

A pick-6 by T. White, and 2 TD's set up by turnovers giving LSU the ball on the opposing team's side of the 50 yard line.

UNACCEPTABLE

In other words, no halftime adjustments were made.

Offensively, none were really needed. What we were doing was working. State made some pretty good adjustments.

Yea don't understand the whining on here about play calling. We were pretty aggressive offensively and we win 35-6 if Fournette doesn't cough the ball up. With that being said it was sloppy and we have work to do but it wasn't because of the " run it 3 times and punt " offense that we are used to with a lead.
