Let's think about what they (The reporters) know......

1) LSU struggled mightily in the 2nd half against a very undermanned UNC team.....and without a Superman like performance from PP we might lose that game.

2) Our offense wasn't able to do jack squat against Vanderbilt...yes VANDERBILT...for over 3 quarters of football and our QB looked like a JR High kid playing QB.

3) State blasted Memphis albeit what they were supposed to do but they did it

4) State barely lost to Auburn who several of these writers would probably put as the 2nd-3rd best team in the west

Seems like a very very legit possibility based on what they have seen....now of course they don't have the level of knowledge that we have but even given our knowledge level I would still put LSU on upset alert

One of the biggest moron negatigers on here. What will you say when LSU hands it to Mississippi State yet again? I know, you will say at that point it is only Miss State. You love coming out dogging lsu so to speak, then if by some miracle state won the game you could get on here and beat your chest....but if lsu wins..and they will....then you will be on here saying it was only miss state. You will then talk about how west virginia is set up nicely to knock us off...then when lsu beats them you will say they were overranked. You are a joke.

Anybody named Tims Anus that looks like that dude can't be taken seriously. The tool does have the best record in the group, but that's about to change.

Sports betting lines have nothing to do with actual odds of winning the game and they are not a prediction of anything other than how people will bet. The line is just to tease out an even amount of money bet on both teams so that the house profits off the commission and doesn't lose their shirt paying out winnings. They move the line up or down depending on what team is getting more bets.

LSU/Moo State opened at +8.5 and now it's down to +7.5.
LINK
Not much of a move in the line, but the fact the line had do to be adjusted downward indicates that initially more people were laying their money on Moo State. So at least half the betting public is willing to say Moo State will be within striking distance (a touchdown or less) of beating LSU.

wow...i'm sure we all on here are very thankful that you explained to us what drives betting lines and how they move up and down. GEEZ. I hope you are kidding. Secondly, BETTING LINES are the BEST INDICATOR of the outcome of a game...vs. some talking head tool on tv. GEEZ again.

Not coaching. We have much more talent but they are better coached and prepared, I believe.

I love these tools that slam our coaching staff all the time with opinions that cannot be qualified. This guy here...he is one of the ones that was hoping we could get jimbo fisher. What a fricking beatdown jimbo took the other day. State's coach is a good OC...you have absolutely no idea if he is a good head coach yet or not....who have they really beaten besides ole miss? Especially to say he is better than miles and more prepared than him. Miles if fricking 53-15 with all kinds of hardware. Miles is also 4-1 in bowls, and most of those have been dominant beatdowns.....isn't bowl games the games that really give the coaches time to prepare the most for another team. You tools, I swear.

Baby Ruth, holy crap I was thinking the same thing, but as far as half of them picking MSU over LSU, well that happens when you have a QB that goes 9-20 with 96 yards and one INT, when you have a QB throwing up stats like that then it could honestly go either way because LSU will have to be one deminsional and only run the ball and MSU's offense is actually better then they were last year.

This is certainly the trendy upset pick of the week, which seems to rarely actually happen.

Sir I call you out as a fricking liar! I made the post your referenced and I have NEVER wanted Jimbo Fisher to coach LSU.

You lied to try and make a point but you are incorrect.

I stand by my statement. It doesnt take much at all to be better prepared than the team I have seen the last two weeks and two years before.

Just because you disagree doesnt doesnt mean you opinion is any more valid than mine.

But to lie just to make your point. Yea, your the tool.

I am so tired of people saying a 1-1 MSU team will beat us. They won't even be in the ballgame, I guarantee it. We are going to wipe the floor with their sacks.

So that means LSU wins by 7 pts. So much with wiping the floor with them as you posted...

Make up your mind. If they are the "BEST INDICATOR of the outcome of a game", then we barely beat Moo State. So which is it?

Go be a cheerleader. We all want LSU to win but just because some of us see the weakness this team has shown so far, and want to actualyy talk X's and O's, we are tools... riiiight.

Some of us on here are just fans of LSU , while others are semi-pro writers , but the one thing we have in common is we all love LSU football and want the best for our team. Its not a love for a coach or one player its a team love. Less we forget what it was like not long ago and how easy it is to return there. I folowed LSU when charlie was the coach and cheered every game, listened to the radio before and after the game and was right there at the next game cheering for Lsu , but he at least played the best players he had

I'm not gonna call you a liar or anything, but I do have a serious question.

You did say MSU has the better coaching. Based on what? What has Dan Mullen done that gives you the idea that he is a better coach than Les Miles? Seriously...just curious.

And I just watched ESPN with May, Holtz, and what's his name. The consensus from them regarding "upset alerts" this weekend is FL and TX. No mention of LSU losing to MSU that I heard. Much ado about nothing.

Yeah, I remember that guy. He was the first blind contestant on Jeopardy. He went on there and killed everybody and retired at 5-0 (because those were the rules a few years back). He was really smart and it was good story.

He went back for the tournament of champions at some point and advanced to the semifinals I believe.

I'm a little surprised that four people picked State over us in our house, but not even one picked Florida over Tennessee at Tennessee. I think Les Miles plays a bigger factor in some people's heads. I mean, Tennessee played Florida close in the Swamp last year against a much better team and that was with people saying they were going to get obliterated. Florida has been one of the worst looking teams playing in the first two weeks in the SEC against bad teams. Tennessee did eventually get blown out, but they were at least leading Oregon 13-3 at half or whatever at one point. So Tenn. might have a chance in this one because Florida's offense has looked bad in the first two weeks. Without Demps, they'd look awful.

It was 13-13 at halftime IIRC. Obviously, UT has depth issues everywhere. They just plain ran out of gas.

Kind of like State will by the third quarter. And that's when the Tigers will start running the score up.

That sounds about right. I didn't see that game, I just know they were up 13-3 at some point in the 2nd quarter and then got drilled after that. Oregon plays that fast pace game that is too much for Tenn. to handle for 4 quarters. But I think they can compete with UF's offense from what I've seen the first two weeks.
