Just asking for clarification since we are on Tiger Droppings and I did see something on the website last night, but whatever makes you feel better "arsehole".

To those knowledgeable about recruiting: I'm reading that the incoming freshmen aren't as stellar as the past couple of classes and probably won't contribute right off the bat. What I'm curious about is this: Do they improve much as college gymnasts with coaching, or are they pretty much as good as they'll get, skill-wise? (to compare to football, where a 3-star athlete out of high school turns into a first-round draft pick after their college career)

Reagan Campbell should be able to contribute on beam and floor immediately.

With gymnasts its pretty simple, you have to have the tools to be able to do things. Gracen can do difficulty, she is just inconsistent. I think she will get a look at bars early next season. She needs to clean up her hand stands. If she can do that she can contribute to this team.

Some years you just have classes that aren't as good as others but the ones after this are talented so it will all be fine. We are already loaded with talent. We will need to replace two 10.0 vaults, improve bars which they should considering we only replace zamardi and return everyone else. Ewing is good but I think Campbell has a lot more to offer on beam too. I think Lauren Li and Campbell will be the other two starters on beam next year

Thanks, Tigerbait. That's good to hear! Do you think Erin will be on bars next year? Saw her in warmups this weekend so guessing she may be.

Erin is an option but I think we definitely have better options. Julianna Cannamela was actually really good on bars her entire gymnastics career, she might get some looks. She had some success her freshman year. She kinda fell behind in the fall after some minor procedure, then she had the shoulder injury.

Julianna Cannamela should contribute more next season, I think she can contribute much more than people think

Scoring at upper levels before entering college is often lower than what they score once they arrive on campus and benefit from conditioning and intensive coaching. Sydney Ewing is a great example of a gymnast continuing to develop. Her mother coached her and gave her a tremendous foundation. She was a great prospect but really began to blossom at LSU.

That's what I was hoping to hear - that the new girls may not be coming in with the hype of Kennedi or Ruby, yet they have the potential to develop into another Sydney, or even Bugs!
