I don't think it will be easy but that's alot of confidence for the last place team. The guarantee comes about half way in.

state lost a lot of starters. yes, Prescott returns but LSU will be a better team. last year, our front 7 was awful and our qb was also. our OL was disorganized to say the least.

so by simple logic, LSU is improved and MSU is not as good ergo we win.

Well, that have a Heisman Trophy contender coming back at QB, the most important position, and we have maybe someone that can make 50% of their throws. It may be a close game.

Wes, this is a very poor attempt to gain clicks for your shitty article.

You'd be better off posting the latest Kim Kardashian arse picture than stating that some biased redneck in Mississippi's beliefs on why Mississippi State can beat LSU two years in a row.

Sorry moo-boys, but I believe your incredible 1-game winning streak will sadly come to an end. Quite a run for you guys.

No they don't. Good god some of you people. They had a good start last year, against a few teams that were still finding their way. That's it. Prescott will be lucky to be drafted in the first 5 rounds, and that's a fact. If he could have, he would have been gone this year. Looks like jeffsdad has bought into the dream at State as well. Before it is said and done jeffsdad, BH will end up being drafted higher than Prescott. State will be lucky, very lucky, to go 7-5 this year....and one of those 7 ain't coming against LSU. When is the last time a 7 win team had a legit Heisman contender?

We didn't have Beckwith starting or Adams playing much. Godchaux and LaCouture were two young DTs getting their first SEC play. Our run defense was waaay better in the second half of the season, as from the UF game to the TAMU game, we held every opponent to their lowest or second lowest rushing total of the season. We still bring back most of the best secondary in the SEC and country.

A true freshman QB coming off the bench with 2 true freshmen WR and a true freshman 4th string RB, nearly won the game against their supposedly backups who are the starters now. They don't have all year to improve like Arky did when Jennings won the game after Mett went down. They also don't have the luxury of facing true a freshman throwing to true freshmen going up and down the field for three straight drives anymore. Now those guys have experience.

If those crappy arse half starters had one of the worst pass defenses in the country last year, how are they going to do now losing their DC, the REAL starters, and not having any depth? They aren't LSU, they don't have the talent to disguise their defensive deficiences. We finally have experienced receivers, experienced Fournette, and OL that is a year removed from a coaching switch. We also havr that former true freshman QB, now a sophomore, who is 20lbs heavier, in tune with his WRs, knows his plays, and is making the right reads and checks in practice.

Trust me, LSU will be a whole different animal this year. MSU will get dick slapped like they did in 2013. They'll make it close for a while, then LSU will pour it on.

None of these guys are actually looking at it logically. They think they just plug and fill, and not miss a beat. Their recruiting isn't like that. They have to develop guys over time. They return 7 starters....7. Hell, we are well aware what that does to a team having gone through the last couple of years, and they don't even get near the talent as us.

I've had to listen to Bo Bounds and John Weiner on the ESPN shows in Jackson, and they are both saying that's a game State should win on their schedule. They are constantly talking about the magical season that they had last year (THEY LOST 3 GAMES) but the truly SEC elite would consider 3 losses a poor year. None of those guys have done any research about LSU....Hell Bo Bounds literally eliminated LSU from SEC contention a few months back....it's insane around this part of the country...they talk like they are now in the upper echelon of the SEC...both teams. It's going to be a long year for those guys....if they are really believing what they are saying. I honestly think Ole Miss and State will be battling A&M for the 6th and 7th spot in the SEC West.

100% agree, and that's not looking through purple and gold glasses. It's amazing to me how hype can blind people to deficiencies. State lost a TON of production last year....and quite honestly, Dak wasn't the same player down the stretch as teams started to get more tape on him and how better to defend him. I think it is the bet of the year for LSU at - 1 1/2. I look for a sound win by LSU, and if things go wrong for state, it would be a beat down.

LSU has a better OL, and much better running backs and receivers. Last year they had a better qb, by far. I'm not sure it will be by far this year. Teams started to figure out how to play Dak down the stretch last year....and he lost a lot of support around him. If he goes down, that team is literally looking at 4-8...what does that say about the TEAM?

On defense, LSU will have a better DL (although State has a couple good players there) by a little bit with Godcheaux and Lacourte wrecking shite...and better LB's...and MUCH better secondary than State. I'm not sure how you see this being a tough game. Maybe they win special teams and intangibles?
