nah, they actually raised us pretty well, their biggest mistake was not blowing all their money instead of passing it on to the boomers. These folks faced tremendous hardships and wanted to make sure their kids had a better chance. Unfortunately the boomers used it to live the rich life vs. doing a better job of saving/planning. We have, however, provided the world with significant amounts of innovation, although some of it has done as much harm as good...

Your father's generation, like every generation, did some great things, and fricked up severely quite often as well. Their main frickup was raising the baby boomers.

My guess is that your parents were baby boomers ... correct? So you're saying that raising your parents was a mistake?

Mainly due to the imperial heavy-handedness of your generation and their self-righteousness turning many areas of the world against us.

Hopefully the new right will be able to correct these mistakes.

Imperial heavy-handedness. Wow, you are not only a brilliant intellectual, but I can tell that your vast experience in world travel and understanding of different cultures is just bursting to unleash.

The new right is no more than that total idiot of a Jimmy Carter that made this country fall to its knees.

Leave the state of Louisiana once in your life and go outside to see how the world would be without us. You have no clue. You think that the terrors of the world want equality and justice for their poor. You think you can negotiate with terrorist and play softhanded with dictators who starve their own. Or maybe you think that we can ignore it all and stay in our nice little vacuum.
The more you talk, the more I know this country is in trouble in the future.

And by the way Wikki, this was not directed at you and you did not start this thread. You simply opened up your mouth and started to write checks that your small fry arse cannot cash.

Fore, very good point and the point that I was making that US baby boomers were not the greatest.
But the biggest mistake we made was raising these incompetent, rude and spoiled kids. Now their problem will be that we will not leave to them what our parents left to us and they have no capacity to do for themselves. We did a great injustice to them for which I am sorry. I think I have finally been able to reach my kids out of the abyss and now they see.

No, what I am saying is that we were not spoiled. They left the money but did not give it to us as kids. No cars, no IPhones etc. You want it, you work for it. We learned to do this and not only did we earn, but they left us money. Now what did we do? We spoiled our kids, gave them all they wanted. Just thought that the knowledge and self discipline would go to. It did not.
Maybe you don't believe what I am telling you, but it's your life not mine.

Education is not learning facts and figures and learning computers at a young age.

IT IS KNOWING HOW TO THINK and KNOWING HOW TO SOLVE PROBLEMS WHEN THERE IS NO BOOKS AROUND.

This isn't doesn't even make sense.

Wait the world would be much worse off without the state of LA? Cause I actually went to the state of Mississsippi once. Highlight of my life and let me tell you that they would be nothing without us Louisianians.

No in fact I don't. I think terrorists use claims of justice and equality as a mask for their own political and religious advancement.

No, no I don't.

The more dumb assertions you make about me the more I am convinced that my point about the self-righteousness of your generation is correct.

Seriously, this dude has assumed a lot of incorrect BS in this thread. But maybe it's just because he's so enlightened, at least according to himself.

Not dumb assertions, only responses based on your comments. Could I be wrong about you? Yes. I am open minded enough to know that typing questions and answers on the internet cannot guage a person.

I am self-righteous. Not really. Am I convinced that I know what I am talking about? Yes. Why?
Because I have experience and you do not. It's actually very simple. You think you know and I know I know.

No I simply know that I'm better than you. It might be tough for you to accept, but you've probably been a bottom feeder your whole life so then again you are probably used to it.

Why don't the players start wearing their caps sideways and wear a do-rag under it also....gangsta style and then other teams will be afraid our guys might pop a cap in their arse.
