Anyone know much about him? Hearing his name being floated around quite a bit.

Yep, 85-88. He makes sense as a candidate with the Les Miles - Jim Harbaugh Meeechigan connection

Sure as hell wouldn't hurt to have a recruiter with South Florida ties.

1989 - The 1989 contest in Oxford proved to have a much different flavor than most college football games. It was played on Nov. 4, one week removed from Ole Miss's Chucky Mullins career-ending injury. The student body passed buckets around the stadium to a then record crowd of 42,700 at Vaught-Hemingway stadium. In excess of $150,000 dollars was raised for the Mullins fund. A very emotional and passionate crowd watched as the Rebels nearly pulled off a miraculous comeback of 21 points against the Tigers, only to have the ball intercepted in the end zone in the waning seconds. LSU prevailed 35-30

Was really good at LSU in the 80's.

I remember him almost getting smoked by a whiskey bottle at Ole Miss in 1989 while I was at the game. Ole Miss was on the 1 yard line and LSU defense was lined up and they were about to run a play he was at the back of the endzone and sure enough some Ole Miss jacka$$ launched a whiskey bottle on the field that landed about 2' from him. He turned around and threw his hands in the air. LSu stopped them and went on to win the game.

Of Course the Miss security didn't see who did it!

I stand corrected, it was at MSU.

And he didn't even play on the 89 team btw

Either way the guy was an all american at LSU, has 10+ years NFL playing experience and NFL secondary coaching experience. Not sure how we could do much better than him.

dude was a beast. He was the one who injured Emmitt in that great Giants/Cowboys game.

DB coach for the 49ers but yeah fingers crossed that we can land Corey Raymond who was a GA like 2 years ago.

49ers secondary was impressive with not a ton of talent - they were definitely physical in the Saints game

yeah, I'm liking what I see with Jackson. not sold on Raymond just yet, though he's the homeboy. if we need some New Iberia recruiting and NFL ties, get Mark Roman to be a GA.

Agreed. He's just a little too green, it seems.

Terry Joseph is a great recruiter, but that's kinda it.

Jackson makes a lot of sense, still younger, would be a job upgrade, has collegiate experience, alma mater, etc.

Wonder what he's like as a recruiter?
