Greg Gilmore - Videos and Images

So, if any of you have been watching the videos posted to Facebook/Twitter or viewing the photographs on the LSU website:

LSU Sports.Net - 8/2 Photo Gallery
Anyone notice Gilmore is looking like an absolute beast?
You can see him doing a drill at ~28 seconds.
This guy gets a lot of flack because we all think Ed Alexander is a monster, but based on these images, I can see why Gilmore is the starter. That is a grown arse man.
Assuming Shelvin takes care of his business and Big Ed is as advertised on the rant, we should have a great rotation at NT.

They still need to rotate more than they did the second half of last season. Enough good depth to do so

Gilmore was a weakness up the middle last season. There were too many times he was being blown off the ball. Hope he steps it up.

He's always looked the part. That hasn't been the problem.
The hope was that he could be another Michael Brockers. That hasn't happened

I thought all d lineman were moving to the o-line.

I'd love to see him and Frank Herron finally live up to their hype coming out of high school in their senior years. Hopefully the young ballers we've brought in on the dline has pushed those two to work harder than they ever have at LSU to get better. Would love to see them get drafted in the first 4 rounds

I noticed this. He looks to have added good muscle and lost a lot of belly. Looks a lot more athletic and stronger.

This dude has been on the team since Chavis was here. Seems like ages ago.

He really improved throughout the season and was playing great at the end. A whole off-season with Pete Jenkins teaching him how to be a two-gap monster will be greatly beneficial.

Greg has earned it and I hope that he has a great season

It should be nice to finally see Aranda's D with a proper NT rotation. That's pretty much all that has separated us from Bama's D lately.
Here's to big Greg steppin it up this year!

He's a huge guy by like normal people standards
Small by NT standards.
308 pounds is a small NT.

Gilmore seemed to improve late last year vs the run.

There are a few guys who look to have come in in great shape for their money years. Gilmore is one, thank goodness.

This is the problem. He filled this spot because there was a need, but he really is undersized, even as a one gap NT.

I hope to god Gilmore steps it up. He was downright terrible at times last year. Too many times I saw him sitting Indian style on his arse post snap. I'm rooting for him to have a great senior year and make him some money in the NFL and fulfill his dream.
