Chimes is awesome

Eh. I wouldn't go that far. But it is a fun atmosphere with pretty good food and beer. It's not life changing or anything.

Nino's is also very good Italian. If it's just you and the wife and you want to eat great Italian in what is basically a dark closet, Pinettas has fantastic food.

Zippys will get you fricked up. Lol. Try a Redneck. Frozen Bourbon and Coke.

All the other restaurants suggested are good too. If you like Greek food, I'm also a fan of Albasha.

Don't waste time & money on a restaurant. Go out to Tiger Stadium & there will be tail gaters set up from 5:00 pm on on Friday; or get there early Sat. a.m. and you can eat & drink all you want for free & get some of the best food in college football. Warning: bring your own toilet paper Sat. as though there are bathrooms all round the stadium, with over 100,000 fans eating & drinking all day, they all run out.

Sammy's in Prarieville… char broiled jalapeno Oysters. Unreal.

American Market on Nicholson has great poboys. Great cheap lunch place.

Spanish Town Market also has a boidin poboy that's great.

If you venture West to Lafayette, Billy's Boudin & Cracklins is mind blowing.

Don't be ashamed if you leave Louisiana 10 lb heavier than when you arrive.

Copeland's on Essen Ln is really good! If you eat cheesecake, they have some of the best and a good variety also!

Also, is there one cant-miss restaurant in Baton Rouge we should try while we're there?
For something close by LSU, you should give Parrain's a try.
