I just wanted to say that I'm very happy about how this season went. Going into the year I was just hoping to be able to host a regional and in doing so would be in my mind a successful, over-achieving season with the turnover we had. Our team improved greatly from the beginning of the season to the end and witnessed one of the oddest late season runs in recent memory. We added the Opossum to LSU lore.

Unfortunately it didn't work out this year but I think the future looks bright with a lot of the young talent.

Yes. This team far exceeded expectations and were 2 wins away from Omaha.

Two weekends into the SEC season, most were questioning if we would make post season play.

Next year will be special.

It's LSU man your season is only as successful as the expectations going into the last game they played.

Beginning of season nobody expected to host a regional much less a super but since they overachieved during the regular season they as a team underachieved. I don't agree with this line of thinking but that's the way fans on this board think. I've gotten used to it and understand why they think that way but after some time people should be able to look at a season as a whole and understand it was a great year from the coaches getting their guys to play and the players willing to accept the coaching. I'm proud of this team for improving and for continuing to fight til the end.

Any year I get to watch LSU play baseball is a great year. Better than the alternative. . . Watching Mississippi State play baseball.

People lose sight of things. Before the opossum event, LSU was about where people had them pegged in the preseason. They went on a tear at the end of the year, even taking 3 of 5 from the #1 team in the country and people began to believe. Once that happened, expectations shifted. I think we caught a good glimpse of what this team can and likely will be next year as they became more experienced and confident. They all got valuable experience this year and experience is the building blocks to success.

It was fun! Wish we would have made it to Omaha but when this team got hot it was a fun ride.
