Great sweep for Tiger Baseball!

My goal coming into the regular season was to average 2 out of 3 each week. We are short of that but very close.
In striking distance of the SEC title with a bunch of teams.
CPM called a good game today. Especially with the pitchers. Waiting to bring in Newman was clutch and might have made the difference.
Gonna be a tough few series to close it out, but we right there.

PM's only move that didn't work was pinch running Slaughter for Coomes. Slaughter out at 2nd, then 0-2 with RISP in 8th and 10th. Could not protect Deichmann in 10th.

Sweeping isn't easy regardless of whoever is the SEC team. I still think we got a rough road ahead but this team desperately needed this sweep.
Good or ugly, as long as you win its all that matters, I'll take em anyway we can.
Going to have to be on top of our game the rest of the season or it can easily get really bad for us but its good that we took care of business this week.

I believe what he is trying to convey with his message is that this sweep proves nothing in terms of gauging how good of a team we are based on sweeping a team that has been swept in 4 straight sec series. That's right, they haven't won an sec game in a month. They've been swept in 6 total series, including 5 in the sec. They will also get swept at least 2 more times this season. They're like the equivalent of LSU basketball this past season. They haven't won a single game since April 1st, which coincidentally is April fools day lol. Don't get too excited over sweeping the gumps bc basically everyone does it. They're hot garbage. You can't say lsu has turned the corner and is hitting their stride and making improvements bc they sweep bama when we needed to and should have.

By my math, we are one B9 2 out hr by A&M from averaging 2 out of 3 for SEC play. And i believe Newman wasn't 100% for that game and couldn't close out.
It's amazing how much our own fans shite on Tiger Baseball while being one pitch away from first place (auburn/msu game pending)

I'm not. But we took care of business and for that I'm glad. We're still in the thick of things headed down the stretch. Why can't we just applaud the team for a second for taking care of business and disposing of a team they should dispose of?

A couple of thoughts:
1) It must be miserable to be you (or around you)
2) You don't know much about baseball if you think it's easy to sweep a team at their house or that it means nothing (regardless of their record)
3) Your future posts should be seen through the lense of items 1 and 2 above.
