Who are you, maam? Did you understand the context of the article? The word irony was used in connection with the article on stragneness/weirdness/awfulness...thought there might be some evidence of irony provided.

Every fanbase has assholes. I don't find the Viking mascot to be particularly weird...certainly not in the sense of keeping jars of your buddies semen and mentrual blood under your bed for weeks...as part of a tradition...like at A&M.
