I’ll nitpick and say defensive backs haven’t been A+

too tough on the OL, they're putting a new group out there every game, and still playing reasonably well.

maybe a little too nice to the LBs and DBs.

Punt returns have been meh....Giles is kinda wimpy. He had 10 yards to run last game and called for fair catch.

Agreed there. It's been a hodge-podge, make-shift lineup.

D-line and LBs have to play better. Tend to get worn down and lose focus in the latter parts of games.

Punter is A+

D Line/LB would need a solid pass rush to get the A grade IMO. If they get that fixed, we'll be dominant. Tue gets flustered quick if you can rush him.

Yes...i forgot about Giles...i was really referring to the way we prevented opponents in kickoff and punt return coverage.

We are missing Chaisson more than I expected.

I would say a B+ at best for the D-line. They have been gouged at times by the run and have rarely been able to generate any pass rush at all.

They were against Ole Miss, but they are probably B+ for the season. If that A+ continues, this defense is going to give every opponent fits, even Bama.

The biggest thing with this team is we have a QB that has taken the bull by the horns and is leading this team.

No doubt. I thought our DL would be more disruptive. That's actually one of the most disappointing things I've seen so far. I knew the offense would struggle early so that was no surprise.

If that was enough we would have done better in 2016 and 2017 because Etling certainly did the same.

The biggest difference is we have a more talented QB that is coming into his own within the offense.
