crowton has always been a good o.c. it's a matter of having a quality qb that can execute the plays called.

if you want to criticize crowton for something, maybe he doesn't recruit well.

as a play caller, he'll find work easily. like most o.c.'s they are as good as their qb. see norm chow.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but a lot of the play calls from Crowton the last two games haven't been all bad.

I'd give him a C+ or B-

i will give a B. He could have easily got an A, if when lee was in the game in the second half he would of done some play action on first down. It was widefrickingopen all night, and we could have bombed them deep. They were all up on the line ready for the run. And he called run run pass. that is one of my biggest gripes. But overall a B. Much improved. JL is the man for crowtons offense.

C...average, maybe a little better than average. But his runs when we were BARELY in FG range were just a dumb call.

how the frick does a D an a C = a B. Crowton gets a B for the past 2 games.

probably a B- in playcalling, some good stuff, but some headscratchers...in general though, I think he and Les have done a decent job of managing around the QB deficiencies to this point (even though they are to blame to the deficiencies to begin with)...I still want him replaced at the end of the year though

The fade to TT twice to win the game was a gutsy call...... pretty awesome. Now show us some more

That was a message to Urban Meyer... Corner can't cover TT.

C is about right--too predictable on first down, always running the ball in the 2nd half. But a good call finding Toliver for the game winner.

if crowton is the one that is playing jefferson 50% of the time sat and 75% of the time against tenn then i give him a C-...but i think that is miles call

I think we shifted paradigms on O starting with Tenn and evidenced by the playing of JL. And although we were very rough around the edges against UT (stupid penalties and turnovers) one could see a much different look on O.

I didn't have major problems with the play calling in either game. 33 pts against UF in the Swamp is a pretty good outing and I don't think we're near peaking so:

UT: A-
UF: A

I have a question... I have watched LA Tech & BYU coached Crowton offenses and have never seen the option ran by these offenses. Why now, is the option trying to be ran with a QB who CANNOT run, nor is even a threat at running the option??????????

Really makes me wonder who is actually calling the plays???
