The day GQ becomes an authority on football, I'll have to find a new sport. Good thing this will never happen.

That article is poorly reasoned and makes little sense. It was probably written by a guy who's only experience with college football is what he see's on TV when at bars trying to pick up other dudes.

Somebody should post this on the SEC Rant:

Yes, Nick Saban engendered plenty of goodwill this off-season with everything he did for the Tuscaloosa community in the wake of all those devastating tornadoes. But seriously, frick him. Deep down, we all know he's still the same bloodless vampire nomad who eats kittens. Just look at the way he walks around practice in that a-hole-golfer straw hat that makes him look like a southern-fried Third World dictator.

5. Whenever LSU coach Les Miles does something amazingly stupid but somehow gets rewarded for it
Why is he going for it on fourth-and-twenty-six from his own five-yard line with a two-point lead and forty-five seconds left on the clock? WHY, GOD, WHY? Wait, they converted it?! That makes absolutely no sense from a karma standpoint.

The SEC has won five straight national titles, and holy shite do people from the South hold up that streak with an incredible amount of misplaced pride, as if they'd attended all twelve schools in the conference simultaneously. That's like saying you're a fan of time zones. to-hate#ixzz1WobAZ5l5

Did they not have any other possible stories?

Yeah, comparing Conference pride to time zones is a great analogy, that is if your time zones compete in a national sports and is an association of prestigious places of higher learning! What a dope. I think he doesn't get the conference pride because he's probably a fan of a team that plays in a sucky conference or he's really only a fan of the NFL where they don't give two hoots about regional and conference pride.

Yeah it also matters if these are the teams you have to play EVERY YEAR. The dude's a tool. I bet this makes him happy.
