Many call LSU ‘DBU’ for a reason, and Raymond's a big part, reeling in the nation's top talent each cycle, allowing them to flourish on one of college’s football biggest stages while being developed by one of the nation’s best secondary coaches.

That group is about to quadruple in the years to come as Raymond helped LSU sign the nation’s No. 1 defensive backs class, per 247Sports, in 2015 and 2016.

That streak could extend this cycle and the 2018 group may trump them all if the dominoes fall right for the Tigers.

Great coach and recruiter, we are lucky to have him.

Even with his raise I think B Dale P makes more than him...

I'm originally from NI and played Pee Wee football with Corey. We won, "the Sugar Bowl," that year with Corey playing QB and everything else. I was one of three token white kids on a predominantly black team. I remember watching and trying to play against him in practice thinking there would never be a day I could match him.

With a stellar football career as a player, the best thing about Corey is his personality and ability to relate to all types of people. I'm proud to have him at LSU and proud to have him from my hometown! Let's bring home a championship and cement us as DBU!

Was that the Cowboys? I think I remember them if the same league. I was on the Oilers. We rarely, if ever, won.

Yes indeed. Great article on Corey. I played ball at NISH with him. You could tell back then that he had the drive to succeed in whatever he wanted to do. Very happy to see what he's done here.

Yes, lost to the Cowboys in the regular season. We got hot at the end and beat them in the Sugar Bowl. We were the Bears.

I lived on Emma Street with our practices at Center Street Elem.
