When is the last time we ran 75 plays in a game versus a D1 opponent? That seems high for LSU given the last decade or so of offense.

Lot's of guys (young guys) seeing the field, and producing, and not making many boneheaded mistakes.

Great day to be a tiger

We ran 75 plays and we only threw 18 passes.

Normally a 70/30 ratio would be in the 50-60 play range because the clock would have been running non-stop, which it was because it was a sub-3 hour game due to our defense.

[CSB] While pumping gas on Friday, I met Jamal Pettigrew's Uncle (I was wearing LSU bling for my trip to the Gulf coast).

Nice guy. Apparently he and Jamal attended St. Augustine. Jamal's Uncle played at South Easton (?) and roomed with a classmate of mine from BM (Gawain Mathews '84). Is there another TE from Jesuit on the team?[/CSB]

I think he will be an even bigger contributor than many people predicted. Takes a huge weight off of Guice.

That's not only his name, he not only played for the first time as a RS freshman but he also looked like the best corner back out there. Another true frosh, Vincent looked like the second best corner back, and Ed Paris looked like the DB we recruited back in the day. Jackson was pushed around on a couple plays, leaving his feet, which really needs to stop. Overall Jackson played a good game.

Delpit and Paris looked like our best safety combo IMO. Tyler Taylor looks like a sophomore LB. Chassion is the most physical DE/buck, but needs to work on his pass rushing technique. White looked a little over anxious, but good.

The DL was solid, plenty of depth. Corey Thompson looks primed for an all SEC season. Overall this team is very good, deep, and can get even better which is scary. GT

Interested to see the breakdown with all the suspended players back this week.

I wonder if they feel Helaire has passed up Brosette.

I feel CEH has passed up Brossette, but I'm not a coach

Clyde is going to be a real playmaker for us this year. Brossette hopefully can be a good backup for us next year.

I was impressed with CEH the little bit that we saw. He reminds me of McGee.

CEH will be the feature back next year. I think he will also be 2nd in scrimmage yards this year for RBs.

Brosette will have his chance to make plays in the next 2 years, but the coaches are clearly impressed by Clyde.

It was nice to see Brennan get in the first game of his freshman year and not look lost like Brandon Harris did against Wisconsin a few years ago.

If I had to guess I'd say it may be a while until we see Stevens because he hasn't had much time to learn the offensive playbook. He switched to receiver only a month ago.
