Well, I'm convinced that I'm going to go back to season tickets and come camp out with my kids there for a couple weeks at a time. Hadn't had them since 1995. This kid has me fired up and these days, it takes me a lot longer to feel that way.

He definitely has that northern tone....sounds like CLM and I don't mean that in a bad way

He said all their court time has been spent on defense.

He sounds like Les Miles

LSU Basketball will be thousand times more enjoyable just attempting to play defense.
A good defense really turns into good offense.

Defense is the key to going deep in the NCAA tournament as well. Look at our 2006 Final Four team and even South Carolina last year.

He really does sound like Les.... He doesn't say the same stupid shite, but his voice sounds similar.

If you were not excited about wade before (no clue how that would be possible) listen to this link. Will Wade has it. That guy understands basketball. I will be shocked if he doesn't do an amazing job. You give this guy a roster like Tim quartermain, antonio blakeney, Ben simmons, jordan mickey, and martin and this guy might give you a national title. I loved how he talked about LSU already being known for talent and how we are going to transition that into winning team basketball. Everything was nail on the head stuff. We might not make the ncaa tourny this upcoming season, but it will not be because of effort.

I wouldn't bet against it. If he can coach just half as good as he interviews ( not saying he can't ) LSU will be nipping on kentucky and Florida's heels very soon.

I think the ncaa tourny this upcoming is a possibility too. But it will be tough, thats all

Which is odd considering he's from Nashville, went to Clemson and has coached entirely in the South outside of 2 years at Harvard.
ETA And that was a outstanding interview. I enjoy listening to him almost as much as I do Jedi Aranda.

Tyrus Thomas blocked practically everything that got near him. He was a monster on defense.

Can't forget about Garrett Temple, the best defensive player on that squad by a long shot. Made JJ Redick his bitch

I can't think of a LSU coach or any coach that is so open about what they are doing in the program and what the plans are even down to each individual player.

my biggest problem here is he never once said he “enjoyed” his team
