My group is doing Blackwolf Run/Whistling Straits on Thursday and Friday. I've heard of several Tiger fans doing the same.

We are playing Whistling on Thursday afternoon.

Eta: a Thursday 1050am foursome just opened up yesterday, fwiw. Decided to do Wrigley Wednesday night so we kept the afternoon time.

Black wolf run (river) sun am
Whistling straits (Irish) sun pm

Had a 3:50 tee time on straits course but can't play after about 7 that time of year so we'd probably only make it to 13 or so.

Played Erin and straits in June. Erin hills is a must and if you can fit in the WS do it. Also eat at the clubhouse at Erin Hills. The ribeye is the bomb. Bet the manager that you know which locker is locked in the restaurant. It is the second one on the right as you walk into the left entry. Been locked since the US am. He will buy you a round of drinks.

Did you eat at WS? If so, how was that? We were planning to get there early for lunch at the clubhouse before the round.

WS, at the course, was not that good. We stayed at woodlake and had a good Italian restaurant there. The American club was good also.

Italian place is called cucina or something like that. I ate there and it was pretty good but nothing that will blow you away.

My favorite is horse and plow. Nice little pub

Do this. Straits is a fun track and a bucket list course, but the whole experience at Erin Hills is what a golf trip is all about.

Everyone there knew our names, where we were from, what we were doing on our trip, etc. My buddy told our caddie he liked Jameson and when we finished our round they had two glasses of Jameson and two cigars waiting for us at the fire pit to watch the sunset. That place is world class.

Horse and Plow is a good spot.

On Fridays almost everywhere in that area has a fish fry. I think the bar at Straits has it all day.

There are some cool places in Sheboygan as well. Charcoal Inn, Black Pig, Field to Fork.

8th Steet Ale House and Mojos are cool bars for craft beer. If you go to Mojo's ask to see the upstairs. It's a former brothel that the owner turned in to a bar for special events and watching Packers games.

After all the beer and cheese curds, you'll be wallowing in overstuffed misery. Golf will be the last thing on your mind.

WOW. How much money y'all plan on spending for this trip? I am thinking I will drop $2,000 without the golf.

A round at Whistling Straits is over $500. That's a lot.

In Green Bay there are a couple decent courses. Brown County is nice and worth a look. I think the Green Bay Country Club is really nice, but that's private.
