Golf Board LSU Related: Gene Sauers

Watching the Champions Tour right now and Gene Sauers' caddy is using a notebook with LSU on one side and a fleur de lis on the other.
Is there any big relationship or connection between his caddy and LSU or just a fan? Couldn't find the name of his caddy anywhere.

Derek Sanders has been on the bag for him for a couple of years now...was with Brad Faxon prior to that. Was also on the bag for DT for a few tourneys last year while David had a new caddy. Derek grew up in Shenandoah and was a very good golfer in HS....state champ in '87 for Woodlawn. Drank quite a few beers with him back in HS. Believe he lives in Destrehan these days.
