wife and I are taking great nephew(6 years old). Will be leaving Thibodaux around 4 is that early enough? Little fella is fired up he watched Saturday's game with me and asked a ton of questions. He is a huge Tiger fan in general. He asked who we are playing and I told him South Alabama, his response was, "ewww Alabama they suck!".

Wife and I have been wanting to go and catch a game because Bailey Landry's family and my wife's family are long time friends.

I might leave just a tad earlier if you can…you never know what traffic might be like between there and here

I love how kids are so curious at such a young age! That is cool.

I like this kid. He has a good head on his shoulders!

I think he will enjoy himself…there is enough activity going on at the games to keep him occupied. The players usually sign autographs on the berm after the game so he might enjoy a chance to just get close to the players. Hope you all have a great time!

South Alabama is a pretty solid team. They're consistently a post season team who have cracked the Top 25 the past few years. They'll be a decent test for this team. You'll enjoy yourselves. As long as BR in-city traffic is fine, you shouldn't have trouble getting to the game. Though you may have to wrestle through 5 o'clock traffic to get there.

I would imagine coming from Thibodaux I should hit 74 through St. Gabriel's then to Nicholson Dr. to campus?

Probably the best bet…but Nicholson coming from that direction can get a little backed up during peak traffic times because it is just 2 lanes.

I would leave as early as possible….but I have always been one of those "I would rather get there an hour early than a minute late" type of guys when it comes to going to games.

you might want to hit River Road at the casino to avoid Nicholson traffic at Brightside

Free tickets

Just print one out for each person you're bringing and take it to the box office at the stadium before the game.

Expect a battle. I'm sure LSU will pitch Selman or Corbello and South Alabama just got back one of their ace pitchers.

We had a great time! Tigers blasted through the #24 ranked team like they were nothing. The nephew almost got hit by a foul ball up on the party deck in right field side when I went run to the bathroom. Just missed his head and he runs to get the ball and has to give it back! Yeah that sucked would have been great to get that ball signed. If it was a SEC game he could have kept it, go figure!

We did buy him a bat and the whole team signed it after the game. Those girls are so down to earth and very gracious. Everyone of them were extremely kind to him and thank each and every fan out in left field for coming to the game and supporting them

Very cool story, bro….and not in a sarcastic, Rant way!

We seem to have a great bunch of kids who match their supreme athletic ability with class and grace. Our program has always been first class under Girouard and Torina has brought up to an even higher level. This team is quickly becoming one of my favorite all-time teams at LSU in any sport, and I have followed all LSU sports for over 30 years.

Glad your family had a good time and I hope y'all can make it back again!

Thanks for that and yes we plan on hopefully making it back again for sure! The crazy part as with me being such a crazy Tiger fan in all sports is when you see them playing on TV or live in this case we are a huge fan of the sport and team. When you see them after the game live and up close in a non-creepy way they just look like your next door neighbors kids or friends kids, etc, crazy! During the game watching it is all business. If that makes any sense

It makes perfect sense. The charm of the sports below football and men's basketball is that the players are very accessible and they really do appreciate the attention. They really are just normal kids who happen to be good at a sport.
