Seems to be one of these 3 will be the next LSU baseball HC. Sully has the experience, Vitello has the youth and fire and Godwin has the La ties with having worked here previously. I don’t think we can go wrong with one of the three. Which would you choose?

I don’t know much about him other than his resume but based on that, he would be my third choice of the options. Enlighten me on why you choose him?

Vitello, only because He's pulled TN out of the dumpster. Like the way his team plays to. But we can't go wrong here with any of them.

I agree. Give me Sully. Great coach who would kill it here and it hurts UF. Always a bonus.

For me Godwin. His teams are sound. Not many muck ups. It’s a game of a lot of skills and a little luck. He seems to be able to teach the skills.

Nothing. But his turnaround can’t be argued and he’s literally only finished out 2 years at Tennessee. The first of which was inheriting an inept program.

McDonnell/Godwin

Vitello

KOS

I wouldn't be upset with KOS, but I wouldn't be fired up about the hire either. McDonnell is a home run IMO. Godwin is just a hair below. Vitello could be good...or another John Pawlowski, which was a hot name after Smoke.

Yeah, I am disappointed there isn't more McDonnell chatter.

Then again, maybe that is a good thing. As in potential under the radar talks.

He is coming off his worst season, but his overall resume is absolutely incredible.

Godwin has been a head coach for 6 seasons, and was his league’s coach of the year for 3 of them. He has LSU experience and additional SEC experience. He’s a home run.

Godwin has been my #1 for awhile. But, I like Vitello more every day to the point that he's right there with Godwin or passed him up. Sully, Schloss, and McDonnell would all be solid hires.

It doesn't matter. The only names being tossed around are all names that will come here and win a NC. The program plays a big part in a coach's success. Skip built a beast. Maineiri kept it a beast. Its just like football. 3 NC coaches in a row. The program is in such good shape that any good coach will come and have success.

For those not wanting O'Sullivan... are you high? Been to omaha more times than he hasnt. Does well in Omaha. And the only coach to have ever beaten lsu in a final. Always has sound pitching. Thats a home run hire. But no yall want a guy who has coached 3 fu seasons.
