Very surprised he didn't get it done at UK. That said, I would love if he coached LSU, but the 3 DWI's are pretty crummy. There's no doubt in my mind he could make LSU a winner - FAST.

If he's not good enough for Kentucky, he's not good enough for LSU.

I would think real hard before any team takes Clyde back as head coach....

He has alot of demons and has been known to do stupid shite to players by degrading them into doing stupid stuff.

During a recruiting visit, John Wall's phone went off on vibrate during a UK practice....Clyde proceeded to go to Wall and asked him if it was his phone that was vibrating interupting the practice...of course, John Wall told Clyde it was his phone in which Clyde told Wall to get the hell out of the gym....he wanted to show Wall his tough love.

Also, it is known that he made Josh Harrelson sit in a bathroom stahl during a halftime of a game...it is known he throw Jody Meeks off the team during the half time of the Notre Dame game, where the assistant coaches had to get Jodie from the locker room and forced Clyde to get Meeks back on the floor.

It is known he forced Darius Miller to walk from Rupp Arena back to campus...would not allow his to ride back in the Uninversity vans....and it goes on and on.

Also, there has been numerous situations in Lexington where he has been driven back to his house from bars due to his drunkenss.

We aren't hiring a coach, and if we were, you'd want Dale? How'd he do his first 5 years?

He basically did everything but drive to your house and pick you up to go to the game, as far as pushing the program.

Our fanbase (and most potential local recruits) are apathetic about the program. 5 conference wins in 2 years and people aren't yelling about the coach, they're blowing off the entire program and going to watch baseball instead. Dale knew how to make it a spectacle, even more than Skip with baseball. He'd likely host practice tailgating parties outside the PMAC in the off-season to get folks ready for next year, stuff like that. We need to harness the LSU faithful somehow and recreate the Deaf Dome, and that will bring kids in to play (roaring sellouts do influence recruits). He'd find ways to trot Shaq and others out for public appearances.

If not him (and he's too old to seriously consider it), we need someone else who could do things like that. There's absolutely no reason the PMAC can't have the same magic Tiger Stadium has.

This guy sounds like the basketball version of Curley Hallman.

Another Brady, high maintenance, running off players, that's not what LSU needs.

If I'm Alleva and Johnson doesn't show improvement next year, at least NIT, maybe you take a shot at a Duke asst like Wojo or Collins, who he should be familiar with anyway.

Doc Sadler could be had for a bag of chips and a Les Miles autographed cut of grass.
