Makes sense with the depth chart at TE now, I would assume he’s behind Taylor, Pimpton, and Green.

He was also behind Markway.

With how much the tight ends are used in this offense, he would've seen a good bit of playing time even as 4th string.

I always assumed they thought he would bulk up into an offensive lineman. He didn't seem like a take as a tight end.

I thought this was the guy who was bulking to play O-line?

either way, we've had a great recruiting haul from O-line to TE

He was brought in as a band aid for the TE room to help with blocking since all the other guys were freshmen outside of Taylor last season. It was definitely never going to be a long term stay for him IMO.

How many more guys need to enter the portal to be able to add 2 more DT types and then be at 85?

Markway seems to be the #2 with his blocking skills. Won't surprise me if Pimpton bolts soon.

He wasn't especially good at it though.

Which is probably what stalled out the bulking up for o-line thing.

As of this posting, LSU should be at projected 86 if no one else moved in or out. Started at 88 - Gilbreath - Prean = 86. Many of us believe Ibietta and Langlois will be gone. Multiple people also have stated Dibert and Todd (P) are prime transfer portal candidates. That should open up DT transfers in and also an experienced punter to replace Todd should he leave.

What? Why would he bolt? As soon as Taylor is gone, he figures to play a more prominent role along with Green. If you watched the Spring game he caught a couple of passes and made a botched snap go for a decent gain. I don't see why he would be interested in leaving.

I’ll add to that, they want to run a bunch off 2 tight end sets, even 3 on occasion. That’s Taylor & Markway in 12 personnel, then Pimpton to spot play. If he’s smart, he’ll stay and develop
