added to OP....

Relief Pitching:
The Okie's top reliever comes in Jacob Evans who has been solid this year recording 9 saves and a 1.92 ERA in 30 appearances. Other key relievers include Ralph Garza (23 APP, 2.79 ERA, 58.0 IP), Kyle Hayes (16 APP, 3.14 ERA, 28.2 IP, 2 Saves), and Robert Tassin (15 APP, 3.29 ERA, 13.2 IP, 2 Saves).

Obviously Blacksburgh =/= Baton Rouge, but they just swept their 3 games at a road regional site. I doubt their season road record will be a factor.

OU was squarely on the bubble before Big 12 tourney.
Winning the Big 12 tourney was not a big deal in a watered down conference without Texas playing in it.
They are hot right now winning that and a road regional but it's not like Va Tech is a baseball powerhouse.
Gray is beatable and I watched him pitch against OSU earlier in the year who beat them.
With that said, if LSU plays the way they did this past weekend, OU can win. I think we see a different LSU team with the stakes this weekend.
I like LSU though in a 3 game series.

Only if we lose on Friday. Imagine putting all our Omaha Eggs in Eades Basket on Saturday.

They also ended the regular season losing 9 of 12 games before sweeping through the Big 12 Tournament and the Blacksburg Regional.

Guess it's time to find out if being hot is better than being good. VA Tech has beaten some good teams this season, OU sweeping the regional is impressive, but, of course, they are beatable if LSU plays like yesterday.
