I hope you don't fall off your soapbox and hit your head again.

The fact you didn't quit after 2 or 3 doesn't make you tough. It makes you an idiot. I wouldn't broadcast this. Have a downvote.

You think by sitting him LSU would have started swinging the bat?

Yes concussions suck. But as you now, when you are young, it's a tough thing to come out of the game. There was no way he was going to come out of the game. Then he comes through. He will be fine.

Regardless of what they say he didn't go through the "correct" protocol. It was obvious from right after the hit when he was shaking his head trying to clear the cobwebs that he had a concussion. Like I said, whatever, just clarifying.

Are y'all that naiive that u don't realize a lot of trainers will "let it slide" so the player can get back on the field?

So we're supposed to trust your judgment, unknown qualifications and assessment of the player you did from the tv screen over that of a personal examination by a trainer operating under a school approved concussion protocol? As high profile as concussions are today, it's highly unlikely anyone's going to err on the side of letting a kid play if there's any doubt he may have had a concussion. An isolated concussion that's treated properly is not the end of the world. A single, uncomplicated concussion does not equal CTE.

I am a physician. You don't put a player back on the field after a concussion because of possible severe complications if u get another one soon after.

Being nauseated after a blow to the head is a concussion. No ifs, ands, or buts. Anything else?

So what. I've seen physicians exhibit poor understanding about concussions.

If you're a physician, you'd understand the importance of personally taking a history, carrying out a physical examination, making an assessment and deciding on a treatment plan working w/in the accepted policy. Even someone who claims to be a physician can't do that watching tv.

Most info u can get concerning a concussion is from patient's answers (and yes some lie). He said he was nauseated after a blow to the head. U have to assume concussion. That comes from a Neurologist who is a concussion specialist who deals with concussions all day everyday. But believe what u want. Moving on to next topic.
