Just got my tickets to the game. With the late start, what's everyone doing all day Saturday? Any particular restaurants/bars we should check out? Any decent golf courses nearby?

i'm just cruising in about 5pm hoping to find Tiger fans having tailgates or just sitting around drinking. I don't know what the area around the stadium will be like nor do I know what time the stadium will open.

Undecided on Saturday, but we're hitting the Astros game Friday night.

We're staying right down the street from NRG so I'm sure we won't drift far. Hopefully there will be something going on around the stadium.

The Alumni Association in Houston is having a private party at St. Arnold's on Friday Night, and an all day tailgate at Lil Woodrow's in Midtown Saturday. Sunday is "LSU Houston" day at the Astros Game and an opportunity for a meet and greet with Bregman and Harris. Go go LSUHouston.com for more info on the events. May not be everyone's cup of tea but there are events goin on that weekend if anyone is interested.

Can anyone attend the tailgate Saturday? I'm an alumni but not in alumni association.

About 2 years ago I went to an alumni event for a happy hour. Other than the hosts and a buddy of mine, nobody else showed up. Based on that, I'm going to assume anyone that shows up is welcome. There may be specials for members, but considering how packed Midtown will be on gameday, I'm not sure.

Midtown will be a good spot to be before the game. Lots of bars and restaurants. Easy access to the stadium on the metro rail. Only issue is getting on the metro after the game.

Yes, anyone is welcome at the Tailgate. Just make sure you wear purple and gold!

If you're wearing LSU stuff, you can get specials at Little Woodrows Midtown all day. Membership not required.
