Is it safe to assume that LSU - Auburn will be kicking off at 2:30 on September 22? Bama should be the lone CBS night game, right?

Trying to plan a party for that evening and don't want to piss off all my mates...

Depends on the other SEC games that day. CBS has first choice, ESPN gets second choice...outside of the deal that was made for LSU/Bama.

Missouri/South Carolina is the only competition for CBS.

The game is AT Auburn, what does it matter if it's an afternoon game vs. a night game

The guy's just trying to do some party planning.

Correct - it's a shitty weekend of games. Basically LSU - Auburn or Mizzou - SC, and I think LSU - AU will be the featured 2:30 game.

Call it a harsh aversion to playing any games against AU or Bama on the CBS afternoon broadcast.

There is absolutely no way that USC/Mizzou would be chosen over LSU/Auburn. No way.

2:30 it is.

I think it all depends on the Georgia games with South Carolina and Missouri earlier. I can see Auburn losing to Clemson at the beginning of the season. Missouri also plays Arizona State. If either SC or Missouri are undefeated with those schedules, I could see CBS choosing that game.

Yeah if Auburn loses to Clemson and MS State to start the season (which is possible) and is 1-2 going into the game, while USC and Mizz are undefeated then I could see them choosing that game, but I'd say that is unlikely.

kinda think the CBS/SEC is going to try and showcase the newbies as much as possible.

If Mizzou beats UGA opening weekend, book it that Mizzou/Cocks are the CBS game over LSU/Aub.

I just can't see a scenario this early in the season that would vault Missouri vs. So. Carolina over LSU vs. Auburn.

Recent BCS champions and finalists with a history of great games. Just can't see any other possibility.

What are those pictures of?

The 2007 game started at 4:00 and the 2010 game started at 2:30. It was night when the 07 picture was taken.

And I prefer day time road games.

You forgot the pictures of the two CBS games v. AU from 2004 and 2006.

I swear to the heavens I will never get over those losses.
